Sheldon's Story

After attending UW Madison, went to work for IBM in Lexington, KY as a mechanical engineer. After 18 years there, moved wife and kids back to Sun Prairie where we'd been since 1997. Worked 12 years at 2 different product development consulting firms working on everything from Harley motorcycle engines to air fresheners to kids baseball helmets to medical devices. Worked at Spacelabs Healthcare here in Madison for 5 years designing anesthesia machines before moving to the Twin Cities to work for Medtronic’s Diabe...Expand for more
tes group. Finally retired this past August in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic when the stock market took its colossal dump. Talk about timing. Moved back to Madison where I am now a full time Grandpa and loving every minute of it. Looking for the pandemic to be over when we can finally do some of that traveling we’ve had to put off. 7 kids ranging from 42 to 26 from Texas to Oregon to Madison. 6 percent undergrad degrees and working on #4 grad degrees and you can guess where most of my money has gone.
