I have changed e-mail addresses and am now going to join this site. I retired about two years ago as a teacher from the SC prison system, with about 20 years of service credit. I will begin another new public school teaching job this fall. I had a brief stint as a principal, and can see that management was very challenging, but did not like anything about it except for working with my teachers. It was a great learning experience, but don't choose to pursue being a principal. I got laid off from my previous job, but got another one at the last minute. This has been a hard year on teachers in our state, and the economy won't be better next year for us.I hope I can keep this job for two years, but retired people are the first to go. I do like my new position very much. At this point I am once again updating. My job is certianly in jeopardy again. More talks of day day furloughs for us and lay offs for next year. As the newest person, and a retiree -goodbye. I'll be back in the job hunt in the spring, but am sort of looking at North Carolina.
