Shelley's Story

We moved to Santa Cruz in the fall of 2007, and I teach seventh and eighth grade musical theater, choir, and language arts at two different schools in Cupertino, California. I think my career causes me to remember and reflect a great deal on my own high school and junior high days, and that is why I get curious enough to look everyone up. One of my greatest regrets is losing track of Shelby Patton, so if anyone reads this and has a clue where she is, I'd love to hear from you. My husband James is in a PhD program in bioinformatics at UC Santa Cruz. There are many great things about living right on the beautiful California coast, but it sure is a different world from what we left in Houston....Expand for more
(We loved living in Houston!) We really miss our friends and families back in Texas. Our daughter Echo is about to turn five in September. She's a hoot! Sweet, energetic, stubborn, passionate, creative. She thinks her preschool teachers are all that and that James and I know nothing. She thinks we're great for playing with and for providing food, clothes, and toys, though. Here's some random facts you might find interesting: I'm addicted to sports radio! I love watching So You Think You Can Dance. I broke both my arms at one time in a scooter accident in 2001. We had a cat for over 19 years named Paper Clip. Most of our house is decorated with my artwork. Let me hear from you...
