Life
graduated PCW; attended Central State U (got kicked out sophomore year for not going to class); washed cars, read gas meters (got fired for estimating); route sales person with territory in Amarillo, Texas (quit), drove/owned a taxi in OKC from 75-82 (stayed stoned on pot); woke up in '83 and went back to school (OCU), Dad died, graduated BS biology in '86; got masters in epidemiology from OUHSC in '90; went to work with Indian Health...Expand for more
Service in Tucson as researcher in '88 (loved it but had to transfer for $); transferred to Albuquerque in '91 (loved it there but hated boss); moved to Seattle in 94 for job with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, published paper in NEJM July 2000, Mother died, now burned out and just waiting to retire =), cat of 20 years died, LOVE seattle and loving life--considering the alternative; sorry to have missed seeing everybody at the reunion..
