Shelly's Story
Life
I graduated from high school in '82(Churchill High School (since I moved my senior year)) and then went to the University of Maryland, Montgomery College and University of Maryland again. (I was partying a little too much my first year and a half and ended up going to MC for a few semesters before going back to Maryland.) I got my B.S. and then continued and got my M.Ed. in Business Education right after.
Marty (for those of you who knew me then) and I did get married in 1988, but it only lasted two years -- no kids. I didn't do much dating from 1991 to 1994 and then in January of 1994, I met the most wonderful man and we got married in June of 1994!!
My husband, Bo, and I have one daughter, Jessie, who turned six in May. We also have our furry family members and they include the following: Four dogs -- Harley (a German Shepherd), Jasper (a Plott Hound), Jake (a Chocolate ...Expand for more
Lab), Gabby (an American Staffordshire Terrier); a cat -- Chrissy; a bunny -- Smokey; and two pygmy goats -- Bambi and Thumper. Although we have five acres, everyone lives in our house, except the goats.
Currently, I am not working (haven't worked since Jessie was born), but I volunteer a lot at her school and am thinking that I may do a little substitute teaching this year. I am into the Creative Memories scrapbooking and just signed up to be a consultant three days ago . . . we'll see how that goes. My husband has his own business as a high-end remodeler/ soon-to-be-builder, so I also keep busy doing his books.
Although my life is very fulfilling for me, it seems to be just blazing by. It doesn't seem that long ago when we were in high school, going to games, and hanging out under the clock. :-) Time marches on, I suppose, so I'm glad to be totally enjoying the ride!!!
