Maureen's Story
Life
I no longer use this site much but can bef found on facebook. On September 8, 2007 I retired after teaching business education courses to high school and adult students from 1974 to 1988 and working for the Government of Saskatchewan from 1988 to 2007 in various financial positions. I am now back in Swift Current living a house and starting a couple small businesses related to my interests in crafting.
I still love travelling. After my first visit in 2000 to Australia and New Zealand, I fell in love with that part of the world and could return annually. I have also enjoyed my travels to Hawaii, the Caribean, Mexico, Norway, Denmark,Sweden, Spain & Morocco as well as many trips to the US and in Canada.
It is so good to be back in Swift Current, I have many friends and family here so it was the logical choice for my new retirement home. ith me in November.
My free time is still spent doing my crafts, reading and playing with my computer. I treated myself upon retirement so now have a laptop so I can communicate no matter where I am.
I am easy to find me, as all the Shelstads in Swift Current are related to me so if get the wrong one they will steer you in the right direction. I look forward to hearing from former classmates and students. You can also go to my website for my business maureenshelstad.myctmh.com
I start my new career doing card making and scrapbooking workshops in October. A much more relaxing job than reviewing contracts and ensuring accountability and a great way to meet new people. The added bonus it cuts my costs for my craft supplies.
In February I decided to sell Norwex Enviro Products so I could build a travel fund. Living on a pension is not like getting a regular pay cheque.
