Jeffrey's Story
I couldn't wait to go on to college and live away from home. I went to a small liberal arts school, NC Wesleyan, when I was wait-listed at William and Mary for a dorm room because so many VBHS students were accepted that year. It turned out to be a great experience at Wesleyan, despite family problems at home. A 40 year career in human services followed from which I retired in '09. nally settled in and living with my current wife Margie in Chesapeake. My daughter Adriane from the first marriage just wed a few years ago--and I officiated at an outdoor ceremony in front of a Lutheran church in Norfolk. They live in Norfolk. She works several jobs but is still able to use her operatic skills. Overall, life is improved. I went to the 45th reunion which was nice, but high school is far away in my consciousness.
