Sheri's Story
Wow, so much has happened since Memorial High School Days! I worked for a few years after school and then went to Syracuse, SVA and graduated from William Patterson with my bachelors in illustration and graphic design. I worked for a local newspaper designing ads and laying out the paper.Then I had other jobs in the art field and finally settled down and got married when I was almost 28. He was an FBI agent, yeah I know me married to a fed, but I really seemed to work for a while. I lived in a lot of different places and had to switch to freelance artwork because of our moving for the government and the fact that I became the mom of Sean and Ryan who are 23 and 22 respectively. After coaching soccer, baseball, teaching art out of my own studio outside of Portland Oregon, I landed back here on the Delmarva penninsula. I really miss the Pacific Northwest. sp nights to snuggle up next to someone by a roaring fire. All the time the scent of cedar filling the air, wow I miss it. After moving back here, I wound up getting divorced after 20 years of marriage. While working as an educational assistant during the day I went to school at night to get my masters in elementary ed. I have my masters plus 30 and then 12 more credits in middle school science! I have been teaching now for 9 years. I have my own home in the park and have several cats, all who have distinct and interesting personalities. I really haven't changed that much since high school appearance wise. I'm still 5'7", 130lbs and yes I still have my natural red hair with green/gold eyes. I'm just like everyone else right now trying to survive in these economic times. Hard doing that being a single mom but, I'm a Jersey Girl and can conquer anything! Hope to see you at teh reunion in October.-Sheri
