Sheron's Story
Hello, My name is currently Sheron Davis. While at Tech it was Sheron Combest. I majored in Home Economics. I loved Tech and attended basketball and football games. I have not kept in touch with anyone from school. I worked for Indiana Bell, Western Union and The Atlantic Companies (an Insurance Company) before I started my career at Social Security. I was a clerical, a Teleservice Representative and a Claims Representative. I worked there for 30 years and retired early at the age of 51. I moved, for a short time, to Florida. I now live in Noblesville and watch my grandchildren while my daughter works. While at Social Security I was the president of the Indiana Statewide Union. I traveled a great deal and loved every minute of my work with the union. I worked with the Supplemental Security Income program with Social Security. lly. I have two daughters, Wendy and Darcie who both graduated from Warren Central. Wendy graduated from Ball State and Darcie graduated from Anderson College in Anderson South Carolina. Wendy was a cheerleader in high school and college and majored in Polictical Science. Darcie played basketball and golf in high school and golf in college, where she majored in Communication. She currently is a golf pro in Easley SC. They are my pride and joy. I have 3 grandchildren, Chandler 11, Maximus 5 and Jordan 1. I was married to Steven Davis for 20 years. He graduated in 1969 along with me. Also a Tech grad. He worked for the Sheriff's department until he retired as a Major a few years ago. We are still close and we both care deeply for our family. I love to travel and especially love to see the ocean whenever I get the chance. My goal is to be a snow bunny and live in Florida in the winter and Indiana in the summer. I look forward to hearing from classmates.
