My adult life has always revolved around my family. When I was younger all I ever wanted to be was a wife and mother, and that has been the primary focus of my life. I was engaged to Mark Petersen (a neighbor and Sheldon graduate of 1978 -- and an awesome guy!) two days before my 18th birthday (I skipped a grade when I was younger, so yes, I was out of high school and in my only semester of college at the time), and got married four months later. One year after that I had my first child, Brian. We moved from Eugene to Provo, Utah just two months after he was born so my husband could attend BYU. Four other children followed during the next 10 years: Celisa, Laura, Tara, and Kyle. I always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, and tried to do that as much as possible.
