Russell's Story
So many years have gone by. Way to fast.
Did the college thing AA in Welding Metallurgy, Bach of Sci Business marketing and law. 4 years Air Force- Vietnam era. Able to see a bit of the world. Married a very special lady who has stayed by me all these years. We celebrated our 52ed anniversary 2018. She is my love, my life, my existence Diane Lillian Lindsey Powell. Diane attended Huntington Beach High and moved to San Jose where we met at San Jose City College. We have two kids a daughter - Sherri and a son - Russell Robert named after his Grandfathers. Three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
My career WAS in management: operations, Program Management and specialized in the supply chain -materials disciplines for numerous companies. Most were the high-tech industry in the valley. Dianes ...Expand for more
was in management in quality disciplines and traveled to the Pacific Rim many times. Our business traveling allowed us to use frequent flyer mileage to see much of Europe and a bit of Alaska. Moved to Portland Metro area in Oregon 2003.
Still working and will never stop. I need the challenge and the volatility. Now in Retail.... Not a real love BUT I am active and I still deal with inventory and customers - not the mental level customers I am use to. Wow.... my regard for our species has been damaged.......Was a sr. partner and COO of a non-profit organization supporting our veterans. Veterans Career Informational Services, VCIS for short. In 2018, my business partner and I closed down the organization.
