Sherrie's Story
Just as it is hard to find your place in life; its difficult to find a beginning for my story.
After High School I attended Forrest Junior College in Anderson. Soon after graduation I was married; much too young, as was very evident upon a divorce after seven years.
The most rewarding experience from this union would have to be our two children. A Son, Brett, who is now 25 and makes his home in Charleston,S.C. He is a 2006 graduate of Charleston Southern University and is now working full time as a personal trainer at Bluefish Fitness Center near the aquarium, while attendng the Citadel for his Masters Degree.
Our daughter, Hope,is now 22 and continues to live at home. She was born with cerebrayl palsy, but luckily has a mild case which allows her to function well on her own accord.
Jeff & I meet while working at Torrington/Timken Company in Honea Path. We married in 1995 and united our two sets of children from our previous marriages.
Andrea Leigh is married to John Brown.
We have three beautiful grand-daughters; Courtney Leigh, Baileigh Anne, and Cynthia Lainey Brown.
We lost Jeffery, Jr. in September 2003 after a terrifible car crash. As you can imagine it was a difficult time for our family, especially for his father, Jeff.

ertificate and social security card when entering the work force after high school. Can you imagine finding out after 18 years that you have a father you were not aware of.
Well, it was not until November 2003, after beginning our search in 1996 that we found Jeff's Father Roy (deceased), Aunt Paula, four sisters, and one brother. Its amazing how close he & his brother are... and even more amazing they are both named "Jeff". Yes, thats right they are both named "Jeff". Now, my Jeff is a little on the quiet side... but Brother Jeff is the jokester of the family. So he is totaly into them sharing the name. When we go to Virginia for a visit, he loves to enter a restaurant and introduce his brother "Jeff"... you know like the New Heart Show "My Brother Darrell, and my other Brother Darrell!" It was amazing how quickly the pieces of the puzzle fail together after loosing Jeffery, Jr. Prior to his death, we hit one brick wall after the other. But when Jeff needed it most... the doors and windows flew wide open and in walked exactly what he needed at the time... a sibling support group.
Jeff now works for the Caterpillar Co. in Fountain Inn, SC. I continue to work for the Timken Co. in Honea Path as Training Coordinator. Twenty one years now to be exact.
Our lives are full of love --- filled with gardening/lawn work, visits with family/friends here in SC & Virginia, and fishing if the weather permits. Of coarse, I read while Jeff fishes. But the quiet time is great too, which is seldom to none :)
