Sherry's Story
I met my husband while he was a freshman at Georgia Tech. We got married in 1970 and moved to Maryland. Larry sent me to nursing school and I became an RN in 1982. I retired from nursing in 2007. Larry and I were married for 40 years in June, 2010. Unfortunately, Larry passed away in January, 2011 from Leukemia.
I currently continue to live in Maryland, but I don't know what the future holds for me. I have a lot of...Expand for more
close friends up here that are almost like family since we have lived here for 40 years and will probably continue to have a small place up here.
I love the beach and love warm weather, so I forsee my future being somewhere in the South. I've never felt like this was home, but as they say, "Home is where the heart is". And obviously, my heart was here with my husband.
