Sheryl's Story
My husband and I celebrated 44 years of marriage this July 7th. We have lived in Grand Junction Colorado since 1977. We raised a son, Steve and a daughter ,April. Steve and his family live here in Grand Junction. April and her family live in Honolulu, Hawaii until her husband gets orders in March of 2019. We have two grandchildren in Orange, Mass- the oldest will graduate from high School next June. His sister is three years younger. The two granddaughters in Hawaii are 10 years old and 7 years old. Steve's wife brought him two children 10 and 7 years old. We finally have grandchildren here :-).
My husband is fully retired and I am working ...Expand for more
for a caterer. We are active in our church and with the local Boy Scout Council as District officers. We just completed Wood Badge training- the highest training for Boy Scout leaders. Tom and I teach a Grief Share class in the fall and spring of each year. I sing in our church choir, operate the computer twice a month during church, head the Fellowship team and co -chair the Funeral receptions. Tom does the sound board twice a month and is helping to install video surveillance system for our church. He also drives the church bus to pick up members and is on our church safety team. We enjoy the outdoors when we can and travel as money allows.
