Sheryll's Story

Life I started Rockwell Int. in January of 1980 by December of the same year I was the usual statistics of a lay-off..The next year I left for Hawaii to live with my younger sister. I worked as a waitress for 8 months until Rockwell Int. in California called to see if I would be interested in working for them. I took the job and moved from Hawaii to the High Desert in California...Located in Los Angeles County. I've been living here since August of 1981. I married in Dec. of 1984 and had 2 children. The oldest is Joey he just signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, so in March or the 1st of April he will be off to Florida for spring training. The youngest is a girl who is now 14, she plays softball and volleyball and she is good at both sports... I was laid-off from Rockwell in Jan. of 92 and went to Northrop Grumman. I worked there until 1999 and then went to Lockheed Martin which I am still presently working... I am legally separated and have been living on my own with both kids for a year and a half...Things are not easy but we do have a peace of mind...I spend alot of my time at home...while the kids are gone with there friends. I enjoy my kids sports very much, every Sunday we drive to Norwalk to watch my son Joey play Baseball...He plays shortstop on a Dodger Scout Team. My daughter isn't playing right now but hopefully she will start up soon...she is awesome to watch...Expand for more
too. She is a social butterfly...and at times she can be very challenging...She definitely speaks her mind when she doesn't like something but she is a very caring person, she loves animals...and is very sensitive to people that have far less than we do...Our life is very peaceful but at times hectic...I am enjoying my new life now...I haven't met anyone...special...but I do have friends that I enjoy doing simple things with...like going to the gym...that is my favorite thing to do...I love to run and work out...I don't get out much...I'm trying to get my life together with my kids...We are looking forward to what life brings...us...Hopefully it will be a blessing we have been waiting for....I pray that our hopes and dreams are answered... School Who was my biggest crush? There were a few good looking guys but if I didn't know them I didn't approach them. It seemed like we had a group of kids that hung out and those were really the only ones that I really knew. Which teacher inspired you most? I don't feel I had a teacher that really inspired me in the way that I needed to be inspired. I wish I did have one though. And if you could do it all over again, would you? If I could do it over again I would, but I use my experiences to help my two children, so they won't let anything or anyone stand in the way of the things they love most, especially sports. (and it wasn't guys)
