Shirley's Story
I attended La Marque Schools since the '70s. In the '70s and '80s, we were the best school in the county to attend. We had a reputation for having the strongest academic criteria and an outstanding football team. During my high schools, I got married to a '79 La Marque graduated and in my junior and senior year relocated to the "Valley" (South Texas), where I graduated from my mother's alma mata, Donna TX. been most of my life. I left Donna, Tx, and returned to La Marque in 1988, and have worked gone to college, and I now reside. I currently worked at Action Personnel, Inc. which is a temporary and permanent placement service and I have been here for 27 years. I have seen a lot of classmates come thru my office for my help but now I'm seeing my classmate's kids come thru. That is when I realize that, "I'm getting old". I enjoy my work and the relationships that I have established with the community and my classmates. God Bless.
