Shirley's Story
Dear Comets,
I remember many of you from my class ('63) and a few from other years.
After Cody, I went to Eastern Michigan University. After completing my degree, I moved to California. I've lived in Altadena (just north of Pasadena) since 1968. I acquired a teaching credential and taught for 34 years. During that time I earned a master's degree and a doctorate in psychology. I now work as a psychotherapist.
I'm a blue state Christian. I am involved in healing ministry. I've written a book called "Through the...Expand for more
Eyes of My Heart" which is primarily Christian poetry.
I am single because I am a very private person. I have no children because I couldn't imagine teaching all day and going home to kids!
I have two cats named Goodness and Mercy so we are "Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy."
I love to travel. Visiting 50 countries in on my bucket list. I still play the flute, as I did at Cody. My favorite thing to do is curl up with a good book.
I still go through my yearbooks from Cody fondly.
