Shirley's Story
How Has my life been all these years? Looking back I don't suppose I would change a thing. All my experiences, good and bad have made me who I am today. I married Wiley Phillips in 74' and divorced him in 76'. In 1979 I married Barry Waldrop and stayed married until 2003 when he passed a way. Of late, I have been connecting with some old friends on classmates and have made some new ones. Last month I went to the class of 1974's Reunion. It kindled old memories and I don't think I danced that much when I was in High School. Age is a state of mind. During that Reunion I was definitely young and carefree!
At the risk of sounding too "Poly Anna" I have to say I think the biggest lesson in life I have learned is that the simple things matter the most. So, I treasure the time I can spend with my grand children and I appreciate the time I have left with my mother. And I hope too much time doesn't go by before God sends me some one else to spend it with!...
For all my old friends out there, and for the new ones I hope to make, send me your updates and I'll spend some time with you.
