Shirley's Story
Shirley is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Shirley's schools include Valley High School. Shirley later attended The University of New Mexico - UNM. Shirley works(ed) at Retired am I. After going to UNM I worked for Allstate Insurance in the claims department. Then after a few other jobs I started working for Riedling Music Company and stayed there for 5 years until I met Mark Mullin through a mutual friend from church and two years later we were married. He was a machinist and then a computer programmer. We were married for 41 1/2 years before he passed away from complications of Acromegaly and then arthritis. He was in a lot of pain during the last five years of his life. His hobbies were oil painting and also he loved to tinker with things and try to make certain things work. Like a wind turben on the top of our house. Everyone knew where we lived because of that wind turben. And it really did work until a storm blew it off the roof after about 6 or 7 years.

gan in churches.. I enjoy music and even now I miss it. But the hands don't work as well as 40 years ago. I taught myself to do all types of embroidery work, crochet and quilting. I decided I wasn't going to sit around and watch TV all day like some people i knew. That was the most boring. I had two children and 2 miscarriages. My daughter lives in Muskogee, Oklahoma and has 3 girls. She has been married for 21 years. My son Cary is now married and has two children and 6 step children. My husband Mark passed away the day after thanksgiving in 2013. I really miss him terribly. Now i'm trying to get back on my "feet" and decide what to do next in my life. That is the really haard part, but God will take care of that for me. I know He has plans, He's just too slow to put the plans into the order He wants. In my "old age" I'm not too patient. I still sing in the choir, do quilting classes and Bible studys. Trying to get used to being by myself. Have a great day and May God Bless you all.
