Shirley's Story
Just in case you do not remember me, I was very shy most all the way through 12 years of school in Plainview at Lakeside Elementary, Estacado, and Plainview High. I have a sister, Sandy who graduated in 1964 and a brother, Kenny, one year behind me. I always had lots of friends growing up, both in school and in my neighborhood. I've even managed to maintain a few of those friendships despite all the years apart. I have lived in Oklahoma since early 1971. I spend as much time as possible with family living in the Dallas area(including my mom).
At this stage of my life, I'm praying I get to enjoy retirement and not have to work til I drop. I do hope to return to Texas for retirement.
I married in 1974, gave birth to a wonderful daughter in 1976, divorced in 1977, and have remained single ever since. I love living in Oklahoma, work for the University of Oklahoma in a faculty clinic performing various heart testing procedures. And, yes I am a fan of Oklahoma Sooner Football.
I would love to hear from more of my classmates. It's been a really long time.
