Shon's Story
Life
I spent the first part of my growing up years in Normal, Illinois and loved it very much. I had wonderful friends and many fun experiences. I've been back to Illinois on business trips or enroute to another destination, but never back to Normal, since we left in 1978.
We moved back to Utah, where my parents were originally from, to Orem (1978-1980) and then to Provo (after 1980). Orem was great. It was a rough time for me -- leaving Illinois -- but people were very friendly and I gained many friends quickly. I got into a lot of mischief and had a lot of adventures there.
Provo was a nice place, too. It took longer to make friends there, but they have been life-long friends.

from school, but none of them were very satisfying for me personally, so I decided to change focus.
I'm working now at the Family History Library in Salt Lake, cataloging material from most parts of Europe, the Middle East, and some parts of Asia. It's definitely a dream job. I never thought I'd get one, since most people don't seem to, but am glad I do.
I met my wife in school at BYU IN 1993. She's a lovely lady from Arizona with an awful lot of patience. We unable to have kids for five years and after that, didn't stop: 5 children within 5 years of each other (yes, twins were in the middle). They tear the house apart. Just recently, we had to put keyed locks on all our doors, take some furniture out of the living room :) They keep us hopping.
