Shonda's Story
I lived in Florida until 2004, raising my children and trying to keep afloat. Whil I was married, my husband and I owned restaurants. We split in 1997 and I went into the management field. I managed convenient stores and restaurants as well as continued to do bookkeeping.
In 2004, I finally got the opportunity to move and came out here to Colorado where my sister lives. She had already been out here 8 years at the time and owns a restaurant. I managed her restaurant for three years and in November, took a job with ...Expand for more
the Town of Telluride managing the town owned apartment complex. It is the first time in 20 years that I have been home every night with my children.
In April of 2007, I started attending online college to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensics. I will graduate in august of 2009.
My children are 24, 23, 16, and 8. My 24 year old is a step daughter that I inherited from my ex. Her mom left her when she was 5, so I raised her. She has also blessed me with a 6 year old grandson.
