Rick's Story
Graduated from Ft. Lewis with a degree in Computer Information Systems, in 1988 ( yeah, I was on the 8-year plan, since I was paying for it ). Moved to Denver in 1988, and got married to Karen in 1989. Got hired by EDS ( Ross Perot's old company ) in 1989, and was immediately transferred to Plano, Texas. Got married in August of 89, just before we moved to Texas. Had our son, Eric, in 1991. Left Texas ( they were trying to kill us down there - 4 auto accidents in the 4 years that we lived there, none of which were our fault ) and EDS in 1993, and...Expand for more
moved back to Denver. Worked for MCI, and UNIPAC ( student loan collection company ) until 1998, when my back decided that I wasn't going to work anymore. I had had 3 back surgeries up until then, and the surgeon was going to keep cutting me, until I ran out of disks or he killed me, whichever came first. So......I decided that I was done getting back surgery every 2 years, which left me unable to work. I've been stuck at home for 11 years now - wasn't so bad the first 2 weeks, but since then, I have been bored out of my mind. That's my story.
