Tammy's Story
Well, let's see. After I graduated, I moved to Austin, went to UT of Austin, graduated with a degree in Economics, became a project accountant with an architectural firm for a number of years, then moved to corporate/staff accounting with a large health-care facility. During that time I got married and indulged my love of dance. (Some of you may remember that I was once a Madison Dollie. Those pictures on the wall were soooo embarrassing.) Anyway, I performed with a couple of small dance companies and theatrical entertainment companies; I learned and trained in all types of dance ; hip hop, jazz, Latin, African and even Tahitian fire ...Expand for more
dancing! (I even wore a coconut-shaped bra. Haha!)
I've since slowed down the past few years and became a mommy; I have two adorable children, a boy and a girl. I do contract accounting part-time; my children are still young, only 6 and 2, so I want to stay home with them as much as possible. I still dance whenever I can, however. I just recently joined a ladies Latin salsa team and I've been rehearsing and training with them for a couple of months now. Whew! It's not as easy as it used to be. (smile)
