Penny's Story
I am an attorney, former k-12 teacher, and I own and run a publshing company and have six writers writing for me, soon to be seven---My company is Bellissima Publishing, LLC, and you can visit the Bellissima Website, just type Bellissima Publishing at the prompt. All our writers have 4 year degrees or more and are experts in their fields. My pen name is Penelope Dyan, and I am a prolific writer and kids'poet and illustrater of early reader books. My book 'Surfer Girl' was the winner of best teen book at both the 2008 New York Book Festival and the 2008 Hollywood Book Festival and is recognized by the Girls Voices In Literature Databas, Miami University, Florida. My youngest daughter is 19 now, and she went to the USA Olympic Open Water 10K swim trials and is a world class swimmer. My middle daughter has a masters' degree in Educational Technology and a BA in math and one child, and my eldest daughter has four children and a degree in Early Childhood developement. All of my dreams came true. I am very happy, but I hate growing old. Will someone please stop he clock? I write like I am the girl in the red shoes who can't stop dancing. We live in the country away from it all, and we would like to live even further away on 40 acres, but we are very happy where we are out here in beautiful Jamul, California.
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
i never relax.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have quiet, smiling faces, and peace of mind to be able to deal with the day-to-day.

ow my husband because they both believe (and believed) in me always,
Writing, writing, writing, and writing are my obsessions.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the bathroom and add on a new patio roof. My dream home would be right where I live because my hsband and I built it together!.
I have learned from my kids that I have spoiled them, even my youngest who came later at 42.
If I won $100 million, I'd give all of it to save my grandaughter's life, then spend the rest on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. My granddaughter is a make a wish kid and needs a multi-organ transplant and that should about cover it.
All I need was study hard in college and law school. I never had any fun.
My current age is unmentionable. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely surprised when I lived past 40.
I would like yo make some real money off my book publishing business.
My best friend would tell you I'm a genious, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as socially inept.
I watch what not to wear and follow all the rules, or at least I try to follow them.
I share my home with my hubby, which I find enchanting.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by being very careful.
I will never forget my mother who looks like a movie star, and the fact that I thought "I love Lucy" was a normal way of life because my father was a musician, and my friends were mainly musician's daughters. In fact, at Paula Torkelson's house, I even had a theme song that her dad played on his clarinet ever time he saw me. Can you guess what it was?
