Mr. Finley has been a broadcaster and a well-known contributor to the radio industry since 1971. Between 1983 through 1995 he was President/COO and one of the largest shareholders of Albimar Communications that owned KEZO AM/FM, Omaha, NE; KDAB-FM, Ogden-Salt Lake City, and WKYS-FM, Washington, DC. He was CEO/COO of American Urban Radio Networks from 1995 through 1998 and consulted media companies until joining ICBC Broadcast Holdings as Vice Chairman in 2003. He has worked in television, advertising, radio sales, station management, network radio, and has advised several broadcast related companies.
Mr. Finley has served as a director of ICBC since 2001. The operating company reports to Mr. Finley who is responsible for the CompanyÂs growth including formulating long-term strategic goals, identifying and evaluating strategic acquisitions and business relationships and negotiating and implementing corporate financing and capital arrangements. and Executive Vice President of the Carter Broadcast Group (CBG) of Kansas City, the nationÂs oldest Black owned radio company. CBG owns and operates KPRT-AM/KPRS-FM, Kansas City and KSJM-FM, Wichita, Kansas.
Skip received Radio Ink's Radio Wayne award for Best Overall Broadcaster in 1994 and chaired the Radio Advertising Bureaus 1995 Marketing Leadership Conference. He served the Board of the National Association of Broadcasters where he was Vice-Chairman of the Radio Board from 1993 to 1994. He continues to serve the Board of Directors of the Radio Advertising Bureau where he was Chairman from 1997 to 1998. He also serves the Board of Directors of the Broadcaster's Foundation of America. He has been featured in many articles in industry trade publications and has been listed in most of the ÂWhoÂs Who publications as a result of his accomplishments.
Spending much of his time in New York City, Skip Finley lives on MarthaÂs Vineyard Island and Washington, DC. He is married with two adult children and 3 grandchildren. Mr. Finley is an avid offshore sport fisherman whose interests also include Yoga, automobiles, shooting and model trains.
