Skip's Story

Life Friends, email me. I am now the state bear biologist(retired July 16) which sounds much more exciting than it really was. I have a beautiful wife who is a private counselor and two gorge daughters. One is married and works in human resources at the Citadel and another daughter who is a senior at Clemson. We live out of Pendleton, SC. COme see us. I don't know what happened but I turned into a very outgoing person after being very shy in school. I am on the Board of an organization that takes youth with life threatening injuries or illnesses on outdoor adventures. Have taken youth to the Forbes Ranch in Clorado, Alaska (Eskimo Village near North Pole), Eastern NC and a few other places. I have been a Deacon in my Church- my wife says it is because I flirt with the older ladies- and not that I am a decent person. Love living close to Clemson and have served on several committees. They needed someone to dum down some of their position statements so the public could understand. If you get up around Clemson give us a call. Read and Turkey Hunt. lege Football. I went to UGA and Clemson If I won $100 million, I'd give 5 million of it to Church, then spend the rest on charities, family and myself. I lived in a Girls Dorm for a year after I was married. Really enjoyed it. My current age is 54. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. Won DUke Power Environmentalist of the year, SC Wildlife Federation Communication Award, SC Garden Club Presidents Award, Clemson Extension Friend of the Year, Oconee County Employee of the Year and a few others, I fooled a lot of people. My first crush was Sheryl Wooley and I blew that one. I was really scared of girls. Also had a crush on Connie Fackoury. Joey ZOrn and Frankie Shedd. Just got along great and learned a lot from them both. My first job was at Peach Shed, where I got paid 1.10 to pack peaches. What I remember most about it is throwing peaches at Frankie, John Thompson, Mike Hollingsworth and Edward Lemon. I think Barnwell was a great place to grow up. We were safe, pace of life was slow, road bikes everywhere, had a horse and monkey and many friends.
