Claire's Story

Life I married Jim Dale in January of 1956 - - celebrated our 50th in Imperial. I worked for Imperial County for 28 years and retired in 1997. Jim owned Jim Dale Distributing and retired in 1998. We bought a house in Kingston, OK. We spend 6 months there and 6 months in Imperial. We have 3 children and 11 grandchildren (one grandson went to be with our Lord in 1980 at the age of 3 months). Our Sons, Mickey and Geoffrey live in Imperial and...Expand for more
our daughter Kilah lives in Twin Falls, Idaho. In 2008 we were blessed with 2 greatgrandchildren. Our hobbies are visiting various States and documenting the Genealogy of our families. Looking back over the years, I thank God for all the good times we had growing up in Imperial and all of our friends. Growing up in a small community, created such wonderful memories. I am writing a paper on those memories and I encourage you to do the same.

This is a picture of my Dad. I really don't remember him very much. He was killed in an industrial accident when I was 7 years old. He was, I might say, a handsome man.

My family took me to "Two Frogs" for my Birthday Dinner. After we had eaten, the Waiter brought out a platter with a a 2 foot high cotton candy Birthday Cake. I have never seen anything like. What a pleasure. I was also
Thank you all for the Birthday Wishes. It is so wonderful to have such thoughtful friends and family that truly love me. By the way, we really did make a "dent" in the cotton candy.
