Donna's Story
Life
I am married with 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. I work as a Marketing Manager and my job has me traveling 75% of the time. The other 25% I travel with my 20 year old daughter, she is a competitive figure skater for the United States. We have seen a great deal of the planet with her skating and my job. It has been fun, the 2010 Winter Olympics is our next adventure together.
I have called San Jose my home for the past 10 years, even though I come and go frequently, my husband and boys always stay.
I Homeschooled my children, however I have twins and for High School they did attend Piedmont. There was no way I was going to do Homeschool for High School with these two guys, they were full of "teenage" and I figured I share it with the public school syst...Expand for more
em, shame on me! It was a very different experience for them than it was when I attended.
Whenever I get the chance I am having a ball with my grandchildren. I have 4 girls and 4 boys - with another boy on the way in April 08. It's really nice having grandchildren because you can always give them back when you get tired.
I can't believe that I am 52, it seems like such a 1/2 way marker, yet here I am and it isn't that bad, actually it feels pretty good. I could use some of the energy I had in my 20's, those were the days! I can't complain, life has been very good to me and I am a very blessed woman.
So often I think about the people I attended High School with an wonder what they are up to in their lives, it would be so nice to re-connect and hear their stories.
