Sonja's Story
Boy, there are a lot of years to catch up on...I got married in '71 to a great guy, but after 7 years or so, we split up and went our own ways. I got involved in sailing during my next relationship, and spent some time in the Carribean during part of the winters until we lost our boat in a hurricane on our way to St. Martin in 1985.... Interesting, life altering event (did I mention terrifying?), but we were fortunate to be rescued by a tanker and brought back to Newark, of all places. I have lived in Newburyport/Newbury since 1972, and have worked here as a Realtor since '73. It is a very special place to be and has more to offer than I have room to write. ife altering experience, but then life is for the living. I love what I do, and enjoy gardening when I have the time, and going to movies at the Screening Room here in town. My previous company shut us down in December with little notice, so many of us moved to Remax on the River to try to stay together as much as possible, as well as to join another vibrant office which focuses on service to our clients. I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible (well, maybe not so much THIS winter). I have two small dogs and six, yes six, cats. I have always had various numbers of cats, but dog thing was new to me in recent years. They definitely add a new element to life with animals. They are all a lot of fun though, and make me laugh (and occasionally yell) every day. Life is good!
