Life I am a wife and a full time Mom of 5...... Birth Mom, Adoptive Mom and Foster Mom now a GRANDMOTHER! I have breast cancer and undergoing chemo treatments at this time and I will be a survivor! My husband of 24 years, Bob, is retired Army (20 years) and works as Director of Development of the Alabama Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries. He also is a Consultant and Coach with Charity Catalyst, which he founded as a way to help charities who do good, do better. ;-) My oldest, Melanie, graduated from Auburn , is married to Peter James Swinson who is in the Air Force. They live in Huntingtown, Maryland. Their first child, Caroline Jean turned one on July 28th, 2009 and I love bring a grandmother! My son Ryan, is now out on his own, doing great, I have a daughter, Kelsie,who is going to school for Early Childhood and interning at Hunter Street Baptist Church Preschool Ministry. My daughter Stefanie, is a freshman at University of Alabama, and loves living in Tutwiller meeting new friends. My youngest, Savannah is now 8 years old and relearning everything all over due to an illness Feb 2006 that cause alot of brain damage. (encephalitis) We go to some kind of therapy almost everyday, OT, PT, Swim, Speech, etc. We are so blessed to have Children's Hospital, Park Place and Lakeshore Foundation here in Birmingham and the awesome opportunities they offer here for Savannah and our family as she is learning to walk again.... I still love so much of the same stuff from highschool days, from Friday night Highschool Football to Nascar Racing ;-) I am blessed that both my parents are still healthy and live on Lake Wedowee.
