Hey there guys and girls... Ok, here's the latest:
So I've been away from here for a bit... not that I log on much. And the latest factoids: #1 I've spent more total time in Hawaii since Jun '04 than anywhere else on Earth. #2 The longest I've lived ANYWHERE since then was the 10 months I spent in Iraq. I'm in the process of buying a house in Vegas to keep my stuff in and for a place to relax between jobs... you guys should come visit!

In Hawaii again. They seem to like paying me to be here. Still working as little as possible but when I do, it's sort of exciting. I'd like to thank the guys for The Hurt Locker; mostly for turning an important job into a narcissistic portrayal of our work (not that it isn't at times). I would also like to thank whoever the hell voted for a crappy movie to win 6 academy awards because it makes it seem like we still care about our troops. I came out here after spending three months freezing my a** off in the DC area. I took a job out there working for the government dealing with stuff. I moved there after being an instructor for a brief month teaching IED's at EOD school.

Made it back from spending 10 months in Iraq. Did a lot of good things and made a lot of great friends. I doubt I will ever do anything as important as my job there, but I will continue to seek that opportunity. You'd be surprised at how much effort people will put into killing another human being. In Hawaii again for the past 6 months. Thank you USMC for leaving behind WWII ordnance... allowing me to live here and work 2 hours a week and paying me way too much money. About to head back to CA and getting ready to deploy to the middle east. Should be an exciting time with plenty of work to do.

Currently in FL, but about to head home in a month. I got bored and decided to come out here to play with various explosive devices. Things become real when you're sitting in a class on IED's and one goes off in London. I've been out of CA since Nov '04 and eager to get home... except for that whole girlfriend living in FL thing, plus the surf sucks. Prior to coming out here, I worked on a Counter-drug Team for 2 months cutting down pot fields. I've been goofing off with law enforcement types teaching them how to shoot and get into buildings safely for about 4 years.
I've decided that can't sit behind a desk for a paycheck and I can thank grad school for that. Funny how that works out. Still not married; unless I can find someone that's willing to travel and waste every waking moment exhausting themselves outdoors with me. Still no kids, they cost too much.
I went to Cal Poly Pomona after graduation (yes I attended the same college as our valedictorian, Xuan Bui, and even graduated before he did... never mind the fact that my GPA was half of his). I completed my Masters in Organizational Behavior and I'm still living in Huntington Beach. I worked as a stockbroker for about 5 years (see Boiler Room). You guys take care.
