Writing, directing and producing plays has always been my passion. I have always had a very vivid imagination. As a child, I would play with make-believe friends for hours on end! I later discovered that these âpretend sessionsâ were really my gifts being developed. Before I started writing, I acted. I acted in school, church, community and mostly at home. I would entertain my family and friends all the time. I played so many roles in school plays. But, it was church plays that I really loved. fun! It never took me long to develop a character. It was my gift at work! I actually won several 1st Place awards in church and community talent shows. My first award came from playing a screaming mother in a Christmas play. That was a very dramatic role. The audience was left in tears! I was soon made the President of our Thactrical Ministry. Thatâs when the writing took flight! I began to write skits, monologues and plays. âA Day of Thanksgivingâ, âGood Timesâ, âThe Battle Withinâ, âFace to Faceâ, âWhere Is The Loveâ, âThe Girl In The Flowered Dressâ, and most recently, âSecretsâ. I have directed versions of âGodspellâ, âBethlehemâs Big Nightâ, and âBow The Kneeâ. My purpose is to create contemporary, inspirational live stage productions that cause the audience to think, feel, laugh and cry. These works leave the audience with an experience that awakens them. When the actors portray these characters the audience sees a bit of themselves and is intrigued to know more. These characters unlock the doors of the heart, soul and mind; doors that could lead you anywhere!".
