Sonya's Story
Life
I went to college then I worked in a hazardous waste lab for awhile. Then I worked as a QA lead at Sierra testing video games and other software for awhile, where I met my fabulous husband, who is now a computer programmer making video games. We have two really cute kids (seriously, I'm not just saying that!) We currently live in Kirkland.
School
I thought a lot of my teachers were really great, but in particular I still remember very well were Mrs. Hosford, who I had for English twice and Mr. Buccholz who I had for AP History and Current World problems. Any crazy school memories were most likely band related or from Japanese class with Mr. Kumakura.
College
I didn't go far and went to UW here in Seattle. That was great, especially all the really cool people I met the first year in the dorms. (H...Expand for more
ey, Calvin!) After I finished there I spent 3 months at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea where I had a fabulous roommate, Josephine.
Workplace
First job while I was in high school was at King's Table then various other food related jobs through college until I got a job at Seahurst Pediatrics. After college I got a job at Waste Management testing wastewater at the Superfund site down in Kent. After that I went to work testing software at Sierra On-line, but by that point they had stopped making the Adventure games I love! Then I went to work at Physician Microsystems testing medical records software. Now I stay at home with the kids and run around after them.
Military
Never been in the military, but I have had a lot of friends in the Navy, including my husband, who was an officer on a nuclear cruiser.
