Sophak's Story
Life
Well, I'm just going to share what my life has been like since PHS '94. I wanna first say that I gave my life to Jesus Christ in 11th grade through a friend and fellow Pirate, Muy Khut. Man, when I first heard that name "Jesus," I knew that God was missing in my life. He has now strengthened me and brought me a long way!
Secondly, life at UC San Diego was pretty good and very difficult and lonely at different times. Living in San Diego was great ... a beautiful city and great college campus. I commuted and worked all throughout my college years. And I failed in my educational career for the first time! I worked ALL 5 five years to finally earn a 3.05 GPA with a Tutoring program support for underprivileged minorities called Student Support Services Program (SSSP).
I changed majors to Human...Expand for more
Development, which prepared me best for being a teacher. I'm now in my 5th year as a 5th grade teacher through the Long Beach school district. I enjoy it a lot ... but it's such hard work!
I just want to say what's up to all my old friends ... you know who you are. I appreciate you all and our times together. I probably remember most of them! And I especially wanna say "What's up" to friends that I didn't see as much in high school. Friends like Mia Murray ... what's up, Girrrrlll. You know I won't forget you! And what's up to Thomas Meoai (I probably spelled it wrong ... sorry, Bro.)
