Sophia's Story
Life
I will make it brief for anyone who's interested or curious since high school. First of all, hello, its been a while. I am married, 9yrs now with 2 dogs-min.schnauzers. We currently own a home in Florida and I am a school age teacher and my husband has a job with the government that keeps us travelling every few years. I have had the pleasure of experiencing and travelling to some wonderful, beautiful and exotic locations as well as meeting people of all walks of life. I am excited to be moving once again and working towards getting a masters degree along with my spouse once we are settled again. We will be settling once again back in my old hometown, and I can't be more thrilled, even if its only for a while----who knows what the government may decide. The very idea of being close to family again is reward enough for me though.
I always wanted to be a criminologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a weird profession idea. As it turns out, they were wrong, it pays!.
I like to blow off steam by jumping in my car and taking a ride to clear my head, also shopping, which is definitely a weakness for me.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my own personal space, a can of lysol, and starbucks to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My inspiration comes from seeing my culture and race accomplish great things and become successful in whatever they do.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Sgt. Golihar, because he was my ROTC Teacher and he was so nice and supporting and taug...Expand for more
ht myself and others a lot about discipline and order. He said one day you will be glad you learned this and be able to apply it in life and he was so right, because so many adults sure are lacking in this aspect in their lives.
I am so obsessed with Dancing with the Stars and this real life documentary called-----The First 48.
If I won $100 million, I'd give ALL of it to my MOM, then spend the rest on my mom, my mom and my mom.
My current age is 39. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old as hell!!!!!. I was so completely right!!!!!!!.
My best friend would tell you I'm fun to be around, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as not approachable.
I share my home with my husband and 2 dogs, which I find crowded sometimes, but I love them dearly.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive . I'm going to get there by eating well and exercising..
My first job was at work study, my senior year in high school, where I got paid who knows, but I thought I was rich to even get money like that when you're young. What I remember most about it is I was able to buy my own things and gave my mom a break to buy for my siblings..
I'll never forget the day my dad came to take me to school for the first time, I was only 6 yrs old. My mom called him because I didn't want to go to school and I missed the bus, on purpose. He drove me to school and I refused to go in---until he gave me a pocket of change and a hug and swore to give me some more if I went to class...God what I would give up to redo that day again!
