Jack's Story

Life Ive been everywhere! 12 different schoo Coast to Coast I've done it all! Made lots of friends along the way. Hoping to reconnect with many here. I was sort of a wannabe popular kid in school. Currently living in West Tennessee, on 5 acres of land, way out in the country, with 8 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 fiance! Hope to finally get married late this year. I had a bad accident in 2001 the day before the world trade center accident!I broke my leg in 13 places, and the Doctors didnt think I'd walk again. But I get around with a cane. However, I cannot stand for more than 30 minutes, so I had to go on disablity. I am looking to train for something I can do sitting down. Guess I have to finish my degree now! School Went to 4 different grade schools, 2 middle schools , and 3 high schools. I liked school, but if I had to do it all over again, I would study harder. A's were far, and few between for me, and I can count on both hands the number of hours of homework I did.. Thats about all I can think of now! EMail me one and all and lets catch up. College Well Ive been chasing that elusive degree for over 20 years. Started at the University of New Hampshire, because I always wanted to go to a New England School, with colorful leaves all over. It was more like 3 feet of snow! Left after 2 semest...Expand for more
ers to join the Marines. Went back to school at Cal-Berkley to study Philosopy in 1990. What a place for an ex Marine to be! Had a hard time going at night, and working during the day, and dropped out again! Went back to Modesto Junior College in 2002. Picked up a few hours, but felt like a senior citizen, with all those 18, and 19 year olds. I have about 45 more hours toward my degree, and will finish someday! Workplace Started out at Burger King just a few blocks from Northwest. I was living at home, working 25 hours a week, getting stoned, and hanging around Oak Park Mall every night. Didn't see this as a good career move however, and left for college in 82. Started out at my first real job at Hickory Springs in Hayward Ca, after the service. I moved up from grinder operater, to utilty mechcanic, to plant safety cooridinater. A good job, but I was working full time, and going to college at night. I was always exhausted! Tried starting my own business, but that takes endless amounts of money, something I don't have! Also worked in construction, and managed a church rehab center. I was disabled in an accident, and am no longer able to work. Military Due to harrasment, I will no longer post details of my military service. Lets just say, I was proud to serve, and I'd do it again.
