Spencer's Story

Life Graduated Stevens Institute of Technology 1978 Bachelor of Engineering, Married 1983 to Susan, first child Shawn 1988, second child Kurt 1992. Retired Sr. Engineer for Jersey Central Power and Light. Claims to fame: Geothermal heating & air conditioning (our alma mater was converted in 2002!) and Electrical Engineer for Great Adventure (The coaster "King Da Ka" was one of my projects!). Co-founder (with Mark Johnson '75) of SMJ & their Golden Discs - one of New Jersey's first mobile DJ companies. Raving fan of the original Musicradio WABC, contributor to their website (triple w dot musicradio77 dot com), and participated in "Rewounds 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2004, 2007 & 2008" where the radio station turned back into a music station on Memorial Day for each of those years. 50's dance in the old cafeteria on 12/7/1973 - where Mark & I ended up playing the records (photos are in the year book) at that dance. Currently very involved in Scouting - Eagle Scout Service Project Coach - Have coached over 90 Scouts to successful completion of their Eagle Projects during the past 24 years. Former Committee Chair of Troop 82 in Wall Twp., and on the Monmouth Council Executive Board. On the Properties Committee bringing the Forestburg & Quail Hill Scout Reservations electrical system up to current standards. Former charter member of Middletown Troop 128, which was chartered by Christ Episcopal Church, Kings Highway. Currently live in Wall Twp., Monmouth County, NJ.
