Stacey's Story
Life
Let's see. After all my schooling (Cal Hi then UCR), I wound up in advertising as a media buyer. In April I found an opportunity to move out of California (in hopes of affording a house), stay in advertising and be closer to my Dad (Lake Havasu). So I am now living in Phoenix. It's a big change from the beach life I was used to. I'm looking forward, now that the weather is cooling down, to explore!
Update 3/07
Seems Phoenix inspires me to change. I recently quit my job, with absolutely no prospects and took some time off. At the end of February, an opportunity fell into my lap and I took it. I abandoned everything I knew career-wise, took inventory of my finances and made a move to work with a dot com. I have learned more in the last month than I have in the last year. It's exciting and really scary! Toughest part is staying focused since most days I work from home.
Update 7/08
More change. Have decided that working in an office trying to convince people to buy things and spend money was really...Expand for more
not worth all the stress I was having. OK, maybe the stress was coming from above but you know what I mean. So, having left yet another job here in Phoenix I am on a road to give back. I volunteer with a no kill animal shelter 4 days a week and work and as animal care giver as my new job. And guess what.... I love it. I am dirt poor and love it. I am so incredibly grateful that when I had the opportunities to go places and do things... I went places and did things. I am still in a recovery mode with Karma... Not sure what I did, but I accept that doing things just to make a difference to someone else is REALLY great. It's time to help those who cannot help themselves.
As for fun stuff... traveling will always be my passion. Last trip was in 2005: 16 days in Greece. Not sure where my next adventure will be. Having been to many countries already, South America seems to be calling next. And there is always the camping trips to get outta Dodge for a weekend here and there.
