More about Staci:"I am the mother of 2 grown children, Jacob & Emily. I'm so glad I was able to stay home with them. Emily was 4 years old when I went back to teaching. I teach 5th grade American History, English, & Reading, and have taught 6th grade World History & Language Arts, and third grade in the past. I've been teaching for over 20 years. I love teaching, and I love kids.

watching birds, muskrats swimming, ducks, blue heron, turkeys, deer...
I like to pedal boat around the pond looking for painted turtles while Meryl (my hubby) fishes for bass & blue gill.
Lately I've been doing a lot of research on the people who built the old 2-story brick farm home that is out at the pond. It was built in 1870, so it has been fun searching the old articles & Brown Co. history. It was one of the first homesteads ini Brown County, and the family first built and lived in a log cabin in the timber next to the spring & creek in 1855. It's fun to go exploring & looking for old wagon ruts where pioneers crossed the creek, and remnants of the old log cabin.
Meryl & I live in town for now in another old home built in 1906. We have spent many an hour refurbishing it over the last 23 years, and when we sell it we'd like to build a new house out at the pond property.
We love it when the kids come home and we can spend time relaxing out at the pond with a picnic.".
