Stacy's Story
Update September 2020
Joined the retirement team in 2018 and now enjoy doing full time what I used to have to make room for between business travel. We take long trips on our Harley and in our motor home, still keep two airplanes at Falcon Field, and spend quite a bit of our summer at our little cabin in the heart of Payson.
It's really special when I can get together for lunches with several of my Andalucia school friends. We all have such interesting life stories. Unfortunately that activity has been put on hold during most of 2020, but I am hoping things will move ahead soon to more joyous and and personal contact again. These Zoom meetings and reunions with family and friends are the pits!
Update July 2013
Just completed my one year anniversary with the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). It's been a real eye opener learning about single ship and fleet operations for corporations who use aircraft to further their business. I do a lot more traveling these days, trying to help keep the Santa Monica Airport open into the future; meeting and greeting members of the business aviation groups in southern and northern California and Nevada; and promoting business aviation in Arizona as well. And believe it or not, I get to spend the entire week at Oshkosh for AirVenture this year as part of my job at NBAA.
Haven't neglected my home hobbies either. We spent a month parked on the shoreline ...Expand for more
near San Diego this spring and in between work schedules we did some Harley riding along the coast. We rode our CanAm side-by-side at Alamo Lake and the Mogollon Rim, and recently returned from vacationing in Montana where we went Jeep riding in the mountains. Been reading more too since I started getting books on Nook.
Lucky me.

Happy for all you folks who are retiring, but even happier about my new job!! I am now the Western Regional Representative for the National Business Aviation Association.
After getting my official diploma 6 months later than the rest of you, I played the hippy scene for a while, married and had a daughter. Divorced seven years later. Then I found a terrific guy in '78 who introduced me to aviation. Aviation has been the biggest part of my life ever since.
Lost Jim in 1989 and eventually found my new mate Kenny at the airport. We enjoy not only flying but Harley's, Off-road riding and other sports.
Worked in aviation insurance, aviation education and most recently as an advocate and lobbyist for general aviation, helping support the rights and privileges of all those people who want to own and fly their own airplanes. Recent cut backs at the association mean I'm in the job market now. Not ready to retire just yet.
My daughter had three wonderful kids whom I spend time with every chance I get. They love flying with me in my Beech Bonanza.
