Stacy's Story
Life
I have two amazing kids, Hunter and hayley. They are my world and I learn from them every day.
My mother, Sue Franklin, a well-liked guidance counselor at West when we were in school passed away in December 2005 of colon cancer. Losing her has by far been the hardest thing I have ever had to face.
College
Graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill in 1996 with a B.A. in Public Policy Analysis, specializing in state and local policy and planning.

ed from a certificate program through the UNC School of Public Health in Communicy Preparedness and Disaster Managment (CPDM) in July 2007.
I also have acheived two professional certifications: CFM (Certified Floodplain Manager) and AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners).
I currently work as a Senior Planner with PBS&J in Raleigh, NC and I specialize in hazard mitigation and risk assessment, primarily focusing on assisting FEMA with their work.
