Stacy's Story
Life
Hmmm....well...here it goes...I left SP in 1987 and graduated from Malcolm Shabazz in 1989. I worked at the County for several years and bartended and attended MATC. I met my husband Mike back in 1990. I left Madison in 1996 to attend the University of Iowa. After becoming homesick I moved back to Madison and enrolled in the UW. I graduated in 1999 with degrees in Sociology, Crimology, and Behavioral Science and Law. Mike and I got married on election day 2000 in Las Vegas. For the next 3 years I counseled and case managed delequent and/or neglect/abused teenage kids in a 2 group home settings. In 2002 I gave birth to my...Expand for more
first son, Louie Benjamin (named after Mike's uncle and my brother). So, I decided to quit working and stay home and take care of Louie. As a hobby, my friend Jennie and I started making homemade all natural soap and body products. In 2005, I gave birth to my second son, Reuben Phillip(named after Mike's Grandpa and Phil Suchomel who died in 1998). By this time our soap making hobby had become a business, Saddle Soaps (saddlesoaps.com). So, I take care of my wild boys...husband included :-)...and my 3 cats and 1 dog...our ferrets have all passed on...and I make soap and sell soap. That is basically my life since leaving SP.
