Stacy's Story
Today's date, July 27, 2020:
I married an Englishman in Davington Priory, Faversham, Kent, England, 36 years ago; we are still married. The priory was a Benedictine nunnery built in 1153 and is located on the north Kent coast. Bob Geldof, singer of the Boomtown Rats and creator of Live Aid, has owned the priory for 38 years. I lived in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England for about a year and then we both moved back to Anderson, CA where we lived until 14 years ago. I have two children, two grandchildren with another grandchild on the way, and two very large and hairy Alaskan Malamutes..
In Reading, England, I was a barmaid, but became a sign painter when we moved back to Anderson. Over the years I have worked for Evergreen Elementary and Middle Schools in Cottonwood, Shasta CO Social Services, and more recently for Englewood Municipal Court, CO, as a Deputy Court Clerk.
I am retired and currently writing and illustrating a young adult fiction story.
