Stan Ellis:

CLASS OF 1972
Corpus christi, TX

Stan's Story

To my wonderful classmates of 1972, This is a particularly great time of life for so many of us. We have families. We’ve had careers. We’ve had wins and much of which to be proud. This is a time for us to enjoy. I appreciate the many friends that I had growing up all of those years ago. I still believe my girlfriends since elementary school were beautiful and amazing. My buddies and team members had some very fun interests and senses of humor. And what great talents did we have in our marching and concert bands! I can still see our twirlers standing before our team. No, not everyone was good. I still dislike the bullies and bigots that I met along the way. They made choices, perhaps with their upbringing. Thank you to them for all the enjoyment that you have given to me laughing at all of your failures in life—divorces, bankruptcies, problems with your children and so on. God has a way. te against others. But back to the good stuff. While I haven’t seen so many of you in a long time, I have been impressed with so many of your accomplishments. Many of you have made careers in the healthcare industry. Some of you are in the music business. We have educators, business people and lots of other cool occupations. I remember meeting business owners and people who have raised loving families. I do regret many of our losses. So many of our classmates died too young. Many of them were my friends. In closing, I hope that you are enjoying life and the results of your efforts like I am. I hope that any scars that you have endured are past you and that you are living with pride and happiness. I remember so many of your faces, personalities and stories and I appreciate having known you. Thanks again, Bullies and Bigots for all of the satisfaction that you have given me. I have grown, been trained and have gotten stronger and tougher. While still happy and easygoing, you wouldn’t recognize me.
