Stan's Story

40 year reunion??? Wow! Where did the time go? My story…..hmmm, where do you start. Well, here is a shortened version. I attended Highland elementary where I remember great teachers Ms Lee Obrien and Mrs Kay Gleason. Both made an indelible mark on my life. Went to Isaac Newton Jr High, Arapahoe High and CSU where I studied business. I still have “many” lifelong close friends from my school years. My first job out of college was with Digital Equipment Corp in Colorado Springs. They were a minicomputer pioneer that launched a 35 year high-tech career for me doing Strategic Planning, Business Development, Operations, Product and Project Management, Finance and Marketing all in the storage industry. In 1993, I ...Expand for more
left DEC and moved to Boulder where I worked for Maxtor, Adaptec, Mylex, IBM, LSI and NetApp. I had the same phone number and desk for the last four companies as they were all hires by acquisition. It has been a fascinating career. My job has taken me all over the world. I am largely responsible for creating a product line that leads the world in sales and I am proud that I was able to make such a significant difference in the IT world. I am blessed with a wife and two amazing boys that make me so very proud. They have turned into my best friends as they mature. I bike, play tennis and golf on weekly basis. I still love to travel, ski and scuba dive. I am looking forward to the next chapter of our lives. Bring on 40 more!
