Graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, CA in 1968.
BS from UC Berkeley 1972
After graduation, I was invited to join Uncle Sam's Yacht Club (USN Reserve)...basic training in San Diego, then 2 years of active duty at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland...met many interesting people - Hubert Humphrey, Nancy Kissinger, Sam Ervin, Peter Rodino, Sonny Jurgenson.
BS in Business from the University of Maryland 1978, MBA 1981
Started working for the Department of Defense in 1980. Various jobs in management, budget, and acquisition. Was an Operations Research Analyst in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology & Logistics) - the folks who oversee the various weapon systems, research, installations, environmental programs, and logistics.

d Jean Taylor in 1983, have 2 children - Lauren born 1986, and Eric, born 1989. Lauren graduated from the U of MD in 2008, and Harvard Law School in 2013. Is now an associate at Steptoe & Johnson in DC. Eric graduated from the U of MD with a degree in Computer Engineering; MS in Cyber Security from Carnegie Mellon University, where he works now.
Wrestled two years at UC Berkeley, best friend from college is Robert Ducote, who went to Westmont High School.
Mother still lives in San Jose, older sister Judy is in Henderson, NV; brother Ken lives in Washington state, sister Janice is a doctor in Oakland, youngest sister Audrey passed away (cancer) in 2005).
Currently live in Annapolis, Maryland, and was commuting over to the Pentagon every day. Retired in July 2015; now doing domestic travel; looking for potential places for permanent retirement.
