Stanley's Story

Life My Spouse Edivina "Vina". We meet in Las Vegas, Nevada. She appeared to be in distress. So, my daughter and I stopped to see if she need some help. Well, one thing leads to another and finally, we connected. It was well worth the time. She is a GREAT person. The best wife that I have ever had. Family: My wife and I currently have 9 children (4 ladies and 5 men) between us and 24 grandchildren. Each child is special in their own way. Due to my life and faith in Duty to County and the necessary sacrifices a person makes to serve in the military ... I need to comment on 4 of our sons and 1 daughter, who served or still serving in the military. Currently, we have 1 in the Army and 1 in the Air Force. The one in the Air Force is a Nellis, AFB, NV, and the other in the Army in the Maryland area. Yes, I am very proud of all our children and especially grateful for these. WOW!! 2014 - 24 grandchildren! Most Importantly, I need to mention my Dad, in 2020 he will be 96! A few years ago the Choctaw Nation place a video on youtube called "Our Legacy - Billy Gardner" which honored my Dad and one of my sons in the video as well. (Sorry this site will not allow me to place the link here). Workplace Currently at: 2020-Present: Attending Las Vegas-Professional Institute of Technology and Accounting. Working on obtaining the CompTIA Certifications for A+, Network+, Security+, and the MTA. 2016 – 2019: Graduated from Keller Graduate School of Management, Henderson, NV Campus. Course: Master’s Information Systems Management with a Concentration in Health Information Systems Management. After completion, I have been offered the opportunity to complete two additional Graduate Certificates in the area of Health Services Management and Project Management. 2014 - 2015: Department of Defense Education Activity – Pacific/Korea District – Seoul American High School, Youngsan, Seoul Korea. Business Instructor. International Business, Business & Personal Finance, and Marketing and Entrepreneurship Courses, I am excited to return and hope to see more of "The Land of the Morning Calm!" and hope to explore Asia more this time. 2011 – 2014: Department of Defense Education Activity – Europe/Bavaria District –Schweinfurt, Germany 2013 – 2014: Schweinfurt Middle and High School, Schweinfurt, Germany: 9th to 12th Grade – Computer Applications, Business & Personal Finance, Business Law, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, High School Yearbook, and English as a Second Language. 7th – 8 Grade Computer Applications, 7th-8th Grade Middle School Yearbook 2011 – 2013: Schweinfurt High School, Schweinfurt Germany (2011 – 2013) 9th to 12th Grade – Computer Applications, Business & Personal Finance, Business Law, and Marketing and Entrepreneurship Course. The first time in the history of Schweinfurt Military Community a High School was created for the youths of the community. Sadly, it was short-lived. 2012 Official notification came about the post will be closed by October 2014 along with the Bamberg Military Community. The student population decreased rapidly from 2012 until the closing date of the school (June 2014). Sad that so many installations closed, Worms, Mannheim, Zweibrucken, and the list goes on. At least I will be heading back to Seoul Korea, where my wife and I can have vacations in the Philippines. Many personal items hit me during my stay in Germany, lost my last remaining brother, my Mother-In-Law, an Uncle, and a friend (my wife's ex-husband). 2010 – 2011: Department of Defense Education Activity – Pacific – Seoul American Middle School, Youngsan, Seoul Korea: 7th – 8th Grade Computer Applications and 8th Grade Pathway to Careers. Arrived as a typhoon hit Seoul and been enjoying in the storm since. The Land of the Morning Calm! A fantastic chance to the recent turmoil of the Las Vegas' economy. It is with great sadness that I am being sent to Germany. I really started to enjoy the community and life in Korea. Made several friends and able to travel to the Philippines with my wife. Nothing is permanent, one of our sons just had their second daughter born, just before I departed for Korea and she pasted away, as I was getting ready to leave Korea. 2003 – 2010: Advanced Technologies Academy (9–12) IT Courses: Database Design I & II (Oracle Academy), Website Science, Microcomputer Maintenance and Support (CISCO Academy Instructor); Computer Business Applications Courses (Microsoft Office Specialist Core/Expert/Master Certifications); Relational Database (soon to become affiliated with the Oracle Academy as one of their Instructor); Site Administrator for the MOS & MCAS Testing Center; SkillsUSA Chapter Advisor and State Regis...Expand for more

Prior to this, I spent time in college at the University Of Nevada, Las Vegas, NV for the purpose of obtaining a Master’ In Education – Curriculum and Instruction. This allowed me to apply for and receive a Professional Teacher’s License in Nevada for Computer Science (Full), Business, and Social Studies for Secondary Education. Additionally, Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems. Military Great time in the military. I really enjoyed traveling, meeting many different people (good/bad/professional/US/Other cultures). Even though I have 100% of Service-Connected Disabilities, IT WAS GREAT!!! School Biggest crush Sarah H; However, each young lady that I had a class with, lived in the neighborhood with, rode the same bus each day, and that was in the class of 1975 holds a special place in my heart and mind. The most inspirational teacher was MSG Tony Baker. Then, again each teacher holds a special place in my mind. They each shared a special part of what I am today. Thank you. Would I do it again, YES. Especially if what I know now and could still have this knowledge today back then ... I would want to apply myself more to my academics. The play where one of the seniors (class of 75) said he needed a pencil and the student body tossed pencils up onto the stage. When the school allowed me to graduate early so that I could enter basic training. They held a small ceremony in the ROTC Building. It is great sometimes to think about those days. I just wish that I could have kept better contact with each and every one of you. Sure, there can be many things that I would want to do differently knowing the things that I know now, but I would still love joining the military. I would and often recommend to the youths to keep an open mind and to check out the military and to get as much education as possible. Do miss the travel. However, it is a great teaching and seeing the light within come on. The military and law enforcement background does help to send a positive message to these youths. Recent Interests/Activities: Recently, my wife, Vina, and I took a cruise to Mexico, Hawaii (where we also reconnected with an Army friend), South Korea (reconnected with friends), and made a trip to the Philippine Islands to visit with family, attend a wedding, and went scuba diving with one of my sons. Beautiful waters and exciting sea life! Took up doing Geneology Research where I reconnected with several nieces and nephew that I had lost contact with and discovered that a new niece. We are making plans to go to Hawaii where she will attempt to teach me how to surf.
