Stanley Thompson:  

I received my BSEE degree from the University of Texas At Arlington in 1974. Upon graduating from UTA, I received my Commission as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. I was an Honor Graduate from the Infantry Officers Basic Course at Ft, Benning, Georgia, and the Combat Operations Specialist Course Hurlburt Field AFB, Florida. After leaving Active Duty, I worked in the power industry for 41 years. I have written and published 9 technical papers for such conferences as; the Western Protective Relay Conference in Spokane, Washington, the Minnesota Power Systems Conference at the University of Minnesota, and the Protective Relay Conference at Texas A & M University. I also presented technical papers internationally at the Transmission and Distribution Conference in Amsterdam, and twice by the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), for Developments in Power System Protection Conference in the UK, and in the Netherlands.
