Stanley's Story
The best year to finish hs was 1959. After that I spent four years in the US Army serving most of my tour in Germany and France.I got the best education in Europe and traveling around the world. One wife would not do so I have now had three. I have seven children and six grandchildren. Retired from working as an automotive technician after 45 years and enrolled in college. I am now a senior citizen and a senior in college. Next year I should be elgible to take the test to teach elementary school. Anything below the sixth grade will be fine.
While I was waiting to start college I wrote my first book "Adventures of Cotton Top and Earnest" it has been published and is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other places. I might add it is pretty good for all ages and not one cuss word in the entire story. Hopefully someday it will be in schools as it does contain s...Expand for more
ome good philosophy. Prior to the published book I wrote a few songs during the 1960's. My exwife "Lady Wilde" recorded the songs and two or three of them are on UTube under her name.
Life has been good, I have been blessed with good health, with a few minor setbacks, but by the grace of God I am still feeling good and going forward. I even made it to the race track with some horses of my own although mostly without success. Sure hope to get to try that again.
Hopefully I will get to hear from some of my classmates, and those who remember me. It does make me wonder how many of us are left. Truth is 1959 was a long time ago according to some people, to me it was only a deep breath ago.
Stay tuned there may be more. I just might make the next reunion if class of '59 graduates are invited. I do have lots of stories, maybe I will publish another one in a year or two.
